Born in the south of Germany, he decided to go north after school. once ready for university. He settled in Kiel, a harbour city on the Baltic Sea.
From a trip to Norway he brought home a book by Henrik Ibsen. This led him to learn the author's language. Studies in History and Germanic languages followed, including a year's stay on Iceland from where he kept a fond memory of the northern lights.
After his graduation (M.A.) he worked as a technical author in the printing industry, focusing more and more on the technical aspects of his profession. Rather than explaining what the user should have done to avoid failure, his interest focused on how the application itself may lead the user to succeed.
In 2002 he settled in Montréal and started working in Knowledge Management with a local aerospace company. Happy to be back in civil employment he now wants to apply his diverse skills within the Soleica team.
