Accountant

Tasks:

  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.

Network Administrator for Kuujjuaq - North of Quebec

Description

As a Network Administrator / I.T Analyst, you will be in charge of delivering high-quality technical support to Soleica enterprise customers. The position is located in Kujjuaq. Some travels to other communities up North of Quebec are required too. The time spent outside Kuujjuaq can be more or less long depending on projects and customers inquiries.

Tasks:

  • Install and manage systems and networks,
  • Maintain Microsoft server,
  • Maintain Exchange server,
  • Manage backup/restore systems for our clients,
  • Manage Terminal Servers for remote connections,
  • Develop and implement hardware and software solutions for our customers to answer their need,
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues related to any kind of IT errors,
  • Support Soleica customers by finding the business critical nature of the problems and delivering support,
  • Provide feedback and continuously work towards improving support services to ensure a high level of satisfaction from our customers.

Asset

  • Install and maintain Linux FreeBSD servers
  • Install and maintain Postfix email servers
  • Manage Terminal Servers in a satellite environment for users located all around Quebec

Qualifications required

  • System Administration/Support experience on MS-Windows Vista-7/2003, 2008 server, – Exchange 2003/2007/2010 – ISA 2004 (Forefront TNG),
  • A solid understanding of Windows Networking, Active Directory, DNS,
  • Networking: LAN/WAN, routers, gateways and firewalls, VPN,
  • Network protocols: TCP/IP, SMB, HTTP, FTP, SMTP and DHCP,
  • Wireless technologies 802.11, Nexnet, Satellite technologies,
  • Computer related degree,
  • Equivalent experience (at least 2 years),
  • Very good communication Skills with Clients and with a team (to get the best services),
  • English fluent (writing and speaking),
  • Reporting skills.

Asset

  • University Degree,
  • French (writing and speaking),
  • System Administration/Support experience Mac OS X,
  • Knowledge in Linux FreeBsd.

IT Analyst / Network Administrator

Description

As a Network Administrator / I.T Analyst, you will be in charged of delivering high-quality technical support to Soleica enterprise customers, to manage IT project from the beginning until the end, to look for new projects, to follow-up with clients and to manage a little team of technicians.

The position is located in Montreal.Frequently travels to North of Quebec are required. The time spent outside Montreal can be more or less long (2 weeks – 1 month) depending on projects and customers inquiries.

  • Install and maintain Microsoft and Linux FreeBSD servers
  • Install and maintain Exchange and Postfix email servers
  • Install and manage systems and networks
  • Manage backup/restore systems for our clients
  • Manage Terminal Servers in a satellite environment for users located all around Quebec
  • Develop and implement hardware and software solutions for our customers to answer their needs
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues related to any kind of IT errors

Experience and Skills

  • Computer related University Degree (Master Degree)

  • Excellent reporting skills in both English and in French
  • System Administration/Support experience on MS-Windows 2000/XP/2003 server, Mac   OS X – Exchange 2000/2003/2007 – ISA 2000/2004
  • Solid knowledge with Linux FreeBsd
  • A solid understanding of Windows Networking, Active Directory, DNS
  • Networking: LAN/WAN, routers, gateways and firewalls, VPN

For successful operation the candidate will also need to be:

  • Have a strong interest in knowing and integrating the Inuit et the Cree Communities. It is an important requirement to accomplish the job.

Technical Specialist Canon Copiers and Printers

Description

The Technical Specialist Canon Copiers and Printers will be in charge of…

  • troubleshooting copiers, fax devices, printers and scanners,
  • troubleshoot general IT issues,
  • monitor the delivery of the hardware.

The position is located in Montréal with frequent travels in Nunavik. Possible transfer to Kuujjuaq in summer 2010.

Tasks

  • Install and maintain scanners, copiers, printers and other Canon equipment in the Northern Villages of Nunavik,
  • Install and repair office systems for our clients,
  • Develop infrastructure and software solutions for our clients,
  • Steadily interact and support our clients in case of issues.

Experience

  • One year
  • Bilingual English,
  • Excellent skills in report writing,
  • Canon Copier Certification appreciated (or experience with other brands such as Minolta, Xerox, HP, Toshiba, Ricoh).
