In April, Inuit from Northern Quebec participate in a week of traditional games and contests. Among these activities figure dog sled racing, igloo and pyramid making, ice fishing, fishnet making and skill shooting.
One of the highlights of the festival is the snow sculpture contest held over three days. Here, participants create impressive works of art symbolic of traditional Inuit sculptures. Sculpted with the most remarkable detail, these works of art illustrate ancient legends storytelling the link between the Inuit people and their environment.
